Adoption Professionals, Inc. provides a variety of quality services for our adoptive families.
Services are provided throughout the State of Florida:
Home Studies: The home study is one of the first steps towards adoption. The home study is a process of interviews and documentation to help the adoption officials understand the homelife where a child is going to be placed and to help guide you through the adoption process. The number of home or office visits will depend on which country you are adopting from. Our Social Workers will help you feel at ease and will tailor the process to accomodate your work schedules, the country's requirements, and the documentation needed. Expectations are kept reasonable, as our goal is to help childless adults and orphaned children unite, thereby approving you as adoptive parents. Fees are kept affordable and the process is usually completed within 60 from the time of the first home visit, once ALL documents including background screenings are in.
Post Placement Services: The Social Worker will interview you after you receive your child. These interviews help the country officials know how the child and family are adjusting to family life. The Social Worker will document the child's progress and help answer any questions about development, bonding, and adjustment. The number of interviews will depend on the country where the child is adopted. If our Social Worker had performed the couple's home study, post placement fees are already paid for in the home study fee.
Birth Parent Interviews: Birth parent interviews are required for domestic adoptions. Adoption Professionals, Inc. conducts these interviews in the same discreet, professional manner as home studies. The information is provided to the attorney or placement agency in the form of a report. The purpose is to gather information about the birthparents' social, cultural, medical, family, and psychological backgrounds. The information helps the placement agency match adoptive and birth parents. Fees are usually part of the adoptive family's expenses.
Adoption Counseling: Counseling services are available to adoptive families and birthparents. Our staff provide counseling during the home study and cover such topics as: bonding, adjustment, lifestyle changes, special needs, child development, adoption processes, support systems, resources, etc. Post placement counseling after the adoptiong offers families a time to gain insight about their feelings and adjustment to this life changing event. For birthparents, we provide compassionate counseling services to help when making placement decisions and after the placement has occured. Counseling services beyond the home study or post placement required visits are covered by insurance or private fees.
Private Infant Adoptions: Several times a year we are connected with birthparents who would like to place their newborn child with a loving, adoptive family. We help the birthparents identify adoptive families; connect with the famlies; make an adoption plan; and receive support from available community resources. Adoption counseling is also provided.
Surrogacy Referrals: It takes a very special individual to birth another couple's child. Our professional staff work with private adoptive couples and their attorneys to refer couples to appropriate, pre-qualified surrogates.
