COUNSELING FOR ADULTS
People often wait for a major personal or relationship crisis, to seek counseling. However, many problems that don’t seem very big can be a constant drain on your energy, or that of your loved ones. The issues can interfere with day to day happiness, efficiency or success. Such concerns often respond to counseling or psychotherapy and may be covered by your insurance.
COUNSELING FOR CHILDREN
Children often benefit from counseling to help them with the challenges of growing, changing, forming new relationships and during times of crisis. Children sometimes react to loss differently than adults. Our counseling services help children cope with the effects of divorce, remarriage and loss of a loved one, including pets. Group and individual treatment is available for children with behavioral problems, as well.
COUNSELING FOR OLDER ADULTS
Our services are provided by staff with special areas of expertise. Your counseling can be provided by a therapist with extensive knowledge of aging as it relates to emotional and physical health, as well as the special challenges that an aging person or family encounters. Among the most common problems are: differences that develop as one or both members of a couple change/grow; working out solutions to long-standing conflicts; or relationship between an older person and his or her adult child, or between the adult child and the older parent.
