Purchasing Credits

Credits are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, or by advance reservation with appropriate financial assurances. Both public and private interests are invited to inquire.

If you are interested in purchasing credits from the Alabama Port Mitigation Bank, either as the site operator or an agent, please call regarding price and availability. Upon execution of the sale, a mitigation credit certificate will be issued to the purchaser.  A copy of this certificate will be furnished to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to verify the completed transaction and satisfaction of the site operator’s mitigation requirement.

Compensatory ratios and number of mitigation credits required is determined on a case-by-case basis by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers during the Clean Water Act permitting process.
