Document Imaging
Are Imaged Documents Acceptable and Legal? Remember, once imaged and put on CD, the file is completely secured in its original form and is totally unalterable.
A common concern about having important documents transferred to an electronic format is the misconception that original papers must be available in the event of an audit or lawsuit. In 2000 President Clinton signed the "E-Sign Act" which states, that wherever any law requires that a record be retained, it can be retained in electronic form, provided that it (1) accurately reflects the information in the record, (2) remains accessible to all who, by law, are entitled to access the record, and (3) remains capable of accurate reproduction.
All our imaging of documents at Flagler Document Imaging and Storage meet these requirements. For more information on these services please give us a call at 386-439-4242 or contact us at info@flaglerdocimage.com.
