  Contact Me

My career includes private career coaching, career and transition counseling, training for the outplacement industry, and psychotherapy. I have also been trained and certified in mediation.

I have over 20 years of experience assisting people to enter and succeed in the workplace; hold an MA in Counseling Psychology from Lesley College; have completed a two-year post masters training program in Psychosynthesis from the Concord Institute; and have a Masters of Public Administration from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, where my coursework focused on workplace issues.

Previously, I was a career counselor at Radcliffe Career Services, ran my own business designing child care centers and other quality of worklife programs, was a women’s rights advocate and designed model employment programs at both the national and state levels. I have changed careers myself, and from that experience have developed a deep understanding of the practical and emotional issues such changes involve.

I also bring a lifelong commitment to the empowerment of women as well as a holistic perspective to my work. I have run support groups for career changers; taught career/life planning and stress management courses; and have extensive experience with issues of balancing work/family life and the impact of illness on work. Additional areas of expertise include:

·         Mid-life career transitions for professionals

·         Individualized job search strategies including resumes and cover letters

·         Identifying right livelihood or vocation

·         Career assessment through inventories including the Myers Briggs Type indicator and the Strong Vocational Interest Inventory.

My commitment as a coach and career counselor is to help individuals find meaningful work, uncover their purpose, and identify the opportunities by which they can contribute to the workplace, to their own growth, and to society.

My principal private practice is just outside Watertown Square, fifteen minutes from Harvard Square, with easy on street parking and accessible by public transportation. I also see clients in my Maynard office.
