Hole 1 (Par 4, 351 yards, SI 6)
Despite out of bounds on the right, a drive down the right centre of the fairway is required to avoid running down into the trees on the left, leaving a short iron to an elevated green that falls away to the left
Hole 2 (Par 3, 197 yards, SI 11)
Downhill par three requiring an accurate tee shot, otherwise an awkward chip over bunkers either side of the green is required.
Hole 3 (Par 4, 317 yards, SI 17)
Short dogleg right that ideally requires a fade through an avenue of trees off the tee. Driveable for long hitters, although there is a ditch at around 150 yards off the tee for any duffed tee shots.
Hole 4 (Par 4, 293 yards, SI 15)
Another driveable par four, although trouble awaits any hooked or sliced tee shots. Two tier green.
Hole 5 (Par 3, 199 yards, SI 9)
Relatively straightforward hole, although anything left can end up in the avenue of trees that run the length of the hole. There's a ditch at around 140 yards for any miscued tee shots.
Hole 6 (Par 4, 466 yards, SI 1)
Toughest hole on the course and one of the hardest holes in Middlesex. Long, uphill hole that plays even longer than its 466 yards. Shot into green generally requires one more club, and it's important to leave yourself a putt below the hole on this tricky green.
Hole 7 (Par 4, 359 yards, SI 13)
A drive down the left hand side of the fairway will leave a short iron to a raised two tier green. Anything right off the tee will leave you blocked out by large trees.
Hole 8 (Par 5, 500 yards, SI 3)
Arguably the signature hole of the course, this is a long, tricky, uphill par five. A drive slightly left of centre should leave the opportunity of avoiding the large oak tree on the right with your second shot, and then a short iron to a raised green with trouble if you miss it to the right.
Hole 9 (Par 4, 327 yards, SI 7)
Drive must be hit left of centre, else you'll end up down the slope on the right amongst the trees. Second shot requires great accuracy to a raised green that must not be missed to the right.
Hole 10 (Par 4, 377 yards, SI 10)
Drive should be down the left side over a small copse to a fairway that slopes from left to right, leaving a short-medium iron to a green that falls away to the right.
Hole 11 (Par 3, 235 yards, SI 5)
Lengthy par three with a long two-tiered green.
Hole 12 (Par 3, 133 yards, SI 16)
Although this is the shortest hole on the course, it is imperative to take the correct club to reach the raised plateau green as anything short or long makes par very difficult indeed. The green is the most tricky on the entire course.
Hole 13 (Par 4, 350 yards, SI 8)
A drive down the right hand side to a sloping fairway is required on this shortish par four, leaving a short iron to an elevated green.
Hole 14 (Par 3, 159 yards, SI 14)
Downhill hole that requires an accurate shot else out of bounds beckons on the left and thick trees on the right.
Hole 15 (Par 4, 400 yards, SI 2)
Tough hole requiring long drive, avoiding a big oak tree on the right, leaving a mid-long iron into a long narrow green protected by bunkers either side. Out of bounds down the left, and a ditch at around 260 yards off the tee.
Hole 16 (Par 4, 328 yards, SI 12)
Short dogleg left that is driveable for brave long hitters ! For mere mortals, a fairway wood or long iron will leave a short iron over the ditch to a green that slopes from back to front.
Hole 17 (Par 4, 287 yards, SI 18)
Short driveable par four although there is a ditch at around 200 yards. The green is long and two-tiered, making three putts (and more) a not uncommon occurrence.
Hole 18 (Par 4, 399 yards, SI 4)
Difficult uphill closing hole that requires a long drive that must be kept left of centre to avoid being blocked by large oak tree on right. Uphill second shot always requires more club than seems necessary, and the green is well protected by bunkers.
