MATTERS ARISING
2.1 There were no matters arising.
PROFESSIONALS/GREENKEEPERS/LANDFILL
Keith Reynolds joined the meeting as a representative of the Landfill sub-committee.
3.1 The Planning Application for land-filling had been withdrawn by Mack Trading/Uxbridge Redevelopments.
3.2 Local Gazette newspaper would report the withdrawal of the application in this week’s issue.
3.3 Now need to get course reinstated after pipeline disruption. Steve Browne to talk to Transco and organise a meeting with Mack Trading and London Borough of Hillingdon.
3.4 Uxbridge Skip Hire had been lighting fires and as a result a tree had been burnt down on the 3rd tee. There were also problems with the resulting ash, debris and water on the course and the Environmental Dept at London Borough of Hillingdon had been informed and had visited the course today.
3.5 Bob to speak to Adrian of Mack Trading when he walks the course tomorrow concerning the problems with Uxbridge Skips and offering our support in sorting the problem.
SECRETARY/TREASURER
4.1 £28,343.35 in the Bank.
4.2 Currently 198 members. 2 new members since last meeting.
CAPTAIN’S REPORT
5.1 HPGC had won the last two club matches against Downshire and Thorney Park.
5.2 HPGC came third in the Bass Trophy.
5.3 Captains Day arrangements in hand for 26th September. More than 80 people attending.
5.4 Ruislip Match rescheduled at home on Sunday, 18th October - 24 man team. It was agreed everyone to pay their own green fees and the cost of the food to be split between the two clubs. 2 course meal to be supplied.
SENIORS/MIDWEEK
6.1 Nothing to report.
COMPETITION SECRETARY
7.1 There was no report in Peter Thorpe’s absence.
HANDICAP SECRETARY
8.1 There was no report in Andy Hills’ absence.

LADIES SECTION
9.1 Nothing to report.
JUNIOR SECTION
10.1 Mick coaching Juniors on Tuesday evenings but Phil Howard unable to help at the moment as he is in plaster for 9 weeks.
ANY OTHER BUSINESS
11.1 It was agreed not to renew our subscription with the National Golf Clubs’ Advisory Association.
11.2 Past Captains Day is planned for Sunday 4th October and an invitation letter had been sent to all Past Captains.
11.3 Peter Thorpe Trophy had been postponed but would be played later in the year.
11.4 Anne and Bob to start making arrangements for the Dinner and Dance on Saturday, 21st November.
11.5 The Committee recorded thanks to all the members who had taken the time to send in their objections against the proposed landfill planning application.
11.6 Steve Browne then proposed a special vote of thanks to Anne James for all her hard work on the planning application issue.
The meeting ended at 20.50 hrs.
