Welcome to the New York Business Exchange
Please take a few moments and find out why we are the #1 choice.
Our company was started by the legendary Bill Engle. After he was injured at The Battle of the Bulge in World War 2, Bill returned to the United States and started specializing in car washes. He was one of 20 people in the world, only 2 in New York, that set up the original Automatic Car Wash Association and brought the industry into the 20th century. Bill was known as the marriage broker of the industry, bringing buyer and seller together in wedded business bliss. He was honored in 1969 as one of the all-time greats.
Bill and his son Jeff, who grew up in the car wash business, started the New York Business Exchange in the 1960's. It specializes in the brokering of car washes in the tri-state area. Together they have marketed hundreds and hundreds of car washes, virtually all with a happy buyer and a happy seller. Bill Engle died with his boots on, still brokering car washes at the age of 93. His son Jeff, 57, has continued the legacy of specializing in the car wash industry.
The New York Business Exchange teamed with two Long Island car wash specialists that have an unbelievable knowledge of the business. Veterans George Santelli and Al Carrabis have almost more experience than anyone when it comes to operating and building car washes. Al Pennacchia joined the team in 2004. Together, they have taken operations from 20,000 cars to 80,000 cars in one year. They have been partners in 16 car washes, all averaging between $24 and $34 per car. Over the last few years, they have expanded to selling car washes for the New York Business Exchange. They know this business better than anyone.
